We had an anniversary celebration at our house today when my daughter and her husband celebrated 17 years so we made them a special dinner with a very special chocolate cake for dessert.
Rich Chocolate Cake
1 box devil’s food cake mix
1 small pkg Jello instant chocolate pudding mix
1 cup sour cream
1 cup vegetable oil
4 eggs, beaten
1/2 cup milk
1 tsp vanilla
2 cups mini chocolate chips
1 small pkg Jello instant chocolate pudding mix
1 cup sour cream
1 cup vegetable oil
4 eggs, beaten
1/2 cup milk
1 tsp vanilla
2 cups mini chocolate chips
Preheat oven to 350 degrees F. In a
very large bowl, mix together everything except chocolate chips. Batter will be
thick. Stir in the chocolate chips. I used a 9 x 13 pan and baked it for 35
minutes per the cake box directions. I’m
at high altitude so it took another ten minutes longer to bake.
This cake is rich and doesn’t even
need frosting, but my husband created a whip cream frosting and added blue food
coloring!
